Monday I sewed and crocheted the strips together and Tuesday worked on the border. Now we have a blanket.
I think it turned out great. I liked the yarn and the pattern. The granny square hides any imperfections a beginner crocheter has. I started a monkey face. I'm debating whether to leave it as is or add the faces. All in all, a sucessful project in my book! And Monday night I also finished the other cushions. Here is a far away view of my front porch.
Joy #1 has recently asked for a shrug or caplet to go with a new sundress. I think that will need to be my next project. She is so tiny it will be like knitting baby clothes. :)

You must come and decorate cushions on my new back deck! Ha!
Hmmm, I'm curious to see what the monkey faces would look like...hmmmm
Man, I haven't crocheted in a couple of years...just haven't felt like it lately...I wonder when the crochet bug will bite me again...
The monkey blanket looks great! What a nice job you did! I am very impressed with your second crocheted project! I think you should add a monkey face! I have been doing some sewing the last few days and have'nt picked back up the Hook!
The porch looks so inviting. I'm sure you all will spend many happy times out enjoying the fresh air!
That was fast! It looks good like it is, but I think you should try one monkey face and see how you like it.
If I had a porch like yours, I might never go inside.
