Jennifer and the Marigold Similar to Jack and the Bean Stalk

Yes folks, that is a marigold plant. A huge marigold plant! Like over 5 feet tall!

Here I am with the marigold. A horrible picture! I really am not that pudgy, the camera adds pounds from this angle. Anyway back to the marigold.. I am 5"8 so this thing is huge! There are about 4 flowers on it with one or two budding.

Joy #2 is shocked at the size..

I got my seeds from the local hardware store. I was in there today and the lady said, "Save those seeds!" I never even thought of that. Some people are so smart.

So how are your gardens fairing?

That is sooo cool!
My gardens got hit with a big storm last weekend, the likes of which I have never witnessed before...it was mildly scary (for a Ontarian used to snow but not wind :-) Anyways, horizontal flying wind, dirt, and hail torn apart much of my garden...but ..it's slowly recovering. No big marigolds though :-)

Wow! I have never seen a marigold so large. You should enter that flower in the local county fair. I'm sure you would win a blue ribbon! Yes, you have got to save the seed!
The garden is looking great. Mine is doing well too. This morning I picked a huge bowl of green beans. Tonight we will feast on garlic green beans!

But seriously, save those seeds!

My veggies are going great; nothing of the mutant variety shown here though. Too bad, really... (:

Thanks for the top love!
